Look forward to unvieling my vision for Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights. I have been elated by the online feedback I am receiving about 'Leadership Begins With You!' and 'Speaking To Our Youth About Politics'.

I am focusing on the arduous task of completing my petitions and will elaborate more latter on about my online community messages and my Cornegy 2009 vision.

The petitioning phase of the Cornegy 2009 campaign is almost complete, and we want to thank everyone who has helped us.

Cornegy 2009: Father's Day Message

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK - Happy Father's Day. Michelle and I are sending a special Father's Day message to all Central Brooklyn families today.

We wanted to wish all the father's in our community a Happy Father's Day.

I can not begin to even scratch the surface of the impact my father had on my life. He was an active and influential role model in my life. As I see my children growing I have the need to look back to those things my father taught me NOT by his words but his deeds and actions. He was a dynamic man. I feel so fortunate to have had him as my father.

Hopefully, I can share more thoughts about my father.

As you prepare to celebrate Father's Day 2009 enjoy your weekend and the time you spend with your dad.

The Brooklyn BlogFest is comprise of bloggers who love Brooklyn, New York. This year BlogFest had over 200 bloggers that shared their pride and love for their Brooklyn neighborhoods.

The BlogFest is a reflection of the diversity of people who live in our Brooklyn neighborhoods. It seems there are only a handful of Bedford-Stuyvesant Bloggers. I had the pleasure to meet and have a very pleasant and enjoyable conversation with Bed-Stuy Banana.

The Bed-Stuy Banana Blog photographs add an unique Bedford-Stuyvesant perspective.

Despite cultural and racial difference the people who live in the Bedford-Stuyvesant and the Crown Heights Community neighborhoods have many similiarities and common threads.

We, too, all love the borough of Brooklyn, New York.

I love Bedford-Stuyvesant. I love the Bedford-Stuyvesant historic landmarks, beautiful brownstones, magnificent architecture and neighborhood churches.

However, I am aware that there are many blocks within our Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights Communities that are economically depressed and need restoration and better community services.

We all are concern about education, parks, playgrounds and recreation for our children, healthcare, jobs and unemployment. We all want the access to good quality schools and parks for our children, good quality healthcare for ourselves and our families.

I encourage parents to get involve in your child or children's school. Be assertive and an empowered member of your child's or children school community. Attend PTA Meetings and have ongoing conversations with your child's or children school principals, teachers and parent coordinators. Keep abreast of your child's or children school activities and be involved as much as possibile.

One of my primary functions as a parent is to advocate on behalf of my children. I encourage parents to get involve in community meetings about improving parks, playgrounds and recreation centers for our children's safety and fun.

Let's continue this conversation. There are compelling Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights Community neighborhood issues, needs and enviromental eyesores that are serious and we need to discuss.

As your Central Brooklyn Community Activist Blogger and a Qualified Candidate for Brooklyn's 36th District City Council Seat I need to blog and address the issues you deem important.

The Cornegy 2009 Blog is an essential online community forum for people living in the Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights Community to share thoughts and exchange ideas.

Thank you for taking the time to meet with me today. I am appreciative, humble and a gracious person. I have been blessed with the love of a beautiful, loving and caring woman. I feel a deep level of happiness and inner peace however...

I am very concerned with the critical economic issue that we face today. I know and understand the financial difficulties and personal challenges many of my Bed-Stuy neighbors and people in our community are dealing with.

Many of my neighbors are looking for ways to improving their finances. I understand their and your financial struggle.

As a family man, a devoted husband and father, I am deeply concerned with the issues of crimes of violence: domestic violence and children caught in the cross fire of perpetuating household conflict, child abuse, rape, violent crimes against women and street crimes.

No one for any reason deserves to be abused.

You and I both want a better community. I am a strong supporter of mental health services for people in our community. We have people who are grappling with their thoughts and want insight into themselves or wrestling with emotions and internal pain.

Mental health services are needed in our community so people who need help can get help. Some people need professional help and guidance to find out why they do the things they do and how to find a new mindset and behaviors to change.

Other people need mental help or life coach counseling to help them achieve their goals in life.

Let me explain...

One thing I've noticed along the way is how difficult
it can be to try and get your "inner game" finely tuned
so you actually can achieve what you want in life.

This applies to business, personal life, finances... EVERYTHING.

Sure, we can set goals and all that, but somehow sometimes we
just seem to lose focus before we get there. It's kind
of like too much garbage or noise gets in the way, you know?

All that is about to change!

Just like mental health for well being we share many other concerns. Like you, I want the best for all of my children. There is an unusual amount of love, caring, respect and openness my wife and I share wih each other and with our children.

I want my children to have the best education possible to develop their innate talent, develop personal excellence and self confidence, to develop good character, integrity and have the necessary life skills to face life evolving challenges.

I want to maximize the possibilities in my children's life. Many of you want these same things, too.
